I'm going to agree to a point. For some reason Perry's delivery seems so forced to me I have trouble fully enjoying the show. Like 2BG's the delivery is robotic. His Chandler Bing was such an extension of Perry it was natural. I did like the material though. The banter with Hatcher was good.

Just caught last week's episode and it had some decent laughs finally. They made good use of Penny's ex Zack and even Raj had a funny line (when talking to Zack about his looks "next to you, i look like...me )

I haven't watched most of this season yet but I caught last week's episode and thought it was good. Surprisingly the stuff with Sheldon and Bernadette worked really well. Sheldon is a good character when they don't write him as such an asshole. The stuff with the others at the wine tasting event was decent too. I like that Raj is getting some development as far as relationships go but wish they wouldn't play him off as the buffoon who's trying to juggle multiple women. It doesn't seem to fit the character.

I liked the banter between Baranski and Hirsch, other than that all that was missing was the shark to jump over.

The idea that Leonard and Sheldon could be stepbrothers is beyond ridiculous and is clearly the writers grasping at straws. As if the show hasn't already jumped the shark this would put it over the top.

My DVR says there is one more new episode to record, but I checked and that was #24.
Talk about going out with a whimper not a bang.

I never said it was. The idea that she is possibly going to get together with Leonard's dad though is just stupid and contrived for the sake of throwing another wacky situation in the show to make sure Leonard and Sheldon stay together in some way forever. It just reeks of lazy ideas from a show that's nearing its end and doesn't have any fresh ideas.

No idea but at this point I wouldn't put it past the show. It's not like they'd be regular characters but I could easily see the writers using it as a zany way to link Leonard and Sheldon together in a permanent way.

Judd Hirsch was the highlight of an otherwise completely forgettable episode, especially considering it was a finale.

Exactly. At this point, I don't see why they wouldn't do it. It's contrived, but I also see it as a way to keep Sheldon and Leonard as roommates, even though Leonard is married. I'm betting the writers are aware of this plot hole as well, and see this as the only way out of the corner they've painted themselves into.

And the simple solution to let them continue to be roommates is for Penny to give up her apartment and officially move in with Leonard. The apartment appears big enough. It's not totally unusual for a married couple to have a roommate (the current living situation is unusual and ridiculous). Plus this could allow Raj or Amy to move into Penny's apartment - giving more reason for that person to be around and providing a few more episodes of storylines, because they seem to be running out of them.

Although I'll admit, your idea of Raj moving into Penny's apartment makes more sense...

Because only child Sheldon will now finally have a (step) sibling. There's been intimations that Leonard is looking to split with Sheldon (refusing to attend the Roommate Agreement meeting) and Sheldon has been running out of ways to guilt Leonard into staying. This would do it.
