She kind of looks like the offspring of Kate Beckinsale and Emma Stone.

I had a comment about that, but figured nothing really needed to be said.

I just wanna say I find Agent Carter the character one of the most beautiful woman EVER. I mean just pure pure stunning. I look up the actress and she doesn't hold a candle to Agent Carter when shes made up like her. I just find that crazy never really experienced that before ever in a gorgeous actress and her part.
Show was good loved Agent Carter the character. On to watching part 2.

The late '40s look is very good on her, but I think the actress can hold a candle to the character just fine.

....Just finished Ep. 1. Well this show easily beats SHIELD. Way more fun than SHIELD. Peggy Carter fucking rocks. This thing actually has a pulse to it.
On to Ep. 2.

I don't even recognize her in that pic . The period detail is definitely fun, it's obvious that Marvel really put the money into this show, and the production values look great. That noirish look is really stunning. If missing a little film grain . They've certainly had a lot of fun with the period costuming and details too.

I think she was in that big Ken Follett miniseries a while back. Never saw it though. She's obviously a British actress and I wasn't familiar with most of the UK productions she was in. A spunky heroine in a male-donated market is a nice chance of pace though, especially since thus far, Marvel haven't entrusted a female-centric lead to any of their solo outings yet.
She's attractive both ways, I just think she looked quite a bit different in buttoned down period dress. The accent doesn't hurt either . She does have that same slightly old-fashioned glamour that Hendricks or ScarJo have, the period setting suits her well.
I wish the old Prisoner series was up on Prime or Netflix or something.

Probably what was expected, I imagine most people that already watch SHIELD tuned in, as well as maybe others interested in watching a female lead.
“Marvel’s Agent Carter” opened to decent but unexceptional ratings for ABC on Tuesday night, placing second to the strong “NCIS” shows on CBS and outperforming most of this season’s “Agents of SHIELD” numbers, but losing steam in its second half.
Nearly 16 months after Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” opened to blockbuster ratings (4.7 rating in 18-49, 12.1 million viewers overall), the limited series “Agent Carter” did a 1.9 rating/6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall — a rating that tops all but the premiere episode of “Agents of SHIELD” this season. Nobody expected the newcomer to match those “SHIELD” numbers, but a 1.9 for a heavily hyped premiere is rather middling.
“Agent Carter” lost some young-adult viewers as it progressed, starting with a 2.0 rating for the first two half-hours (strong for ABC in the time period) before slipping to a 1.9 at 9 p.m. and a 1.7 by 9:30. The rating for the final half-hour is the same delivered by the fall finale of “Agents of SHIELD.”

SHIELD is basically dying on the vine. If it weren't connected to Marvel, ABC would have handled it much differently and already shuttled it to Friday nights.

Damn, one of the Russo brothers flying solo directed episode two. I guess coming from a TV background anyway, it'd be second nature to him.

At least they break it down the middle. AOS had some of the most erratic scheduling I'd ever seen last year. It'd air, take two weeks off, air two episodes, take four weeks off, air for a month, it was odd.

The schedule for the first season was a mess. Part of it was ABC's pant's shitting fear of going up against curling and ladies snow shoveling during the Olympics though. This year has gone much smoother.

I was a little worried she might suffocate someone . If it's based on a Ken Follett book, no doubt it's full of sex .
