Openings or title cards to shows you always stick around for?

You know with streaming or recording there’s always the option to skip intro or ff. But some I really like and always stick around for.

Certainly, Peacemaker (S1). The dance number was inspired and I could never get enough.
Also, love the title card for LOST. Always stick around for Scrubs’ “I’m no Superman” theme.
And, probably Cheers as well. oh and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Re: Openings or title cards to shows you always stick around for?

Banshee, Penny Dreadful (original run), and Deadwood come to mind. Very well done title sequences here.

The most stunning, IMO, would be Black Sails. Just beautiful ...

I bailed after S3 as my disappointment with the writing just wouldn't allow me to continue.

Those first 2 seasons were excellent, though ...

I always watch the credits for Star Trek shows, but just to enjoy the music.

If we're talking vintage TV shows, my 9-year-old self was completely fascinated by the opening credits for Police Woman ...

Some I watch often, some only sometimes, some I always skip, but none do I watch every time,
Game Of Thrones, 30 Rock and The Peacemaker I've watched the most.

I stick around for the 80s/90s TGIF sitcoms - Full House, Step by Step, Family Matters, Boy Meets World

Also watch the 24 opening logo of course.

I‘ve been watching Suits for the first time on Netflix and I’ve been skipping the opening credits song. Heard a few seconds of it and oof, sounds terrible.

Re: Openings or title cards to shows you always stick around for?

You could say that back in the day we were all forced to sit through title cards of shows, but I always enjoyed the intro to The A-Team. I just rewatched it on youtube just now and it is long but great. All the main cast including Amy are highlighted in the intro sequence.

It has been awhile since I hit IMDB for some info on The A-Team, and I forgot the show ended 3 eps shy of its 100th episode, and while Amy was not in all the eps, she was in 24 of them so enough that she is indeed a beloved member of The A-Team considering she was part of the core cast through the middle of the second season.

Another vote for Black Sails, I remember letting the opening play for that show because between the music and images on the screen it is indeed a gorgeous title card. In fact, I often felt that at times the actual show was quite crass and beneath the quality of the title card. That being said, for however long I stuck with the show it was still a pleasant enough watch.

Black Sails
Game of Thrones
Halt and Catch Fire
Hell on Wheels

Re: Openings or title cards to shows you always stick around for?

I'll watch them the first time I see the show, possibly at the beginning of each season, but will skip them every time after that. And yeah, that includes Peacemaker. Things like Lost I don't skip, since they are so short.
