He couldn't be a big star. He's the lead in an Asylum SyFy show.

Enjoyed this episode more than the first one! I'm actually impressed with the production values. I'm in this for the duration.

Yeah it looked way better than the pilot(?). I also think there was more plot in the episode than an entire season of walking dead.

I just watched the second episode and it was an improvement from the pilot. I figured that the plan to get the tanker filled from the refinery was going to be messed up. I also liked the subplot with Citizen Z and the dogs. Maybe I'll start watching the show live on Fridays, if I'm home.

I just finished watching the first episode and didn't think it was terrible. Will give it a few more episodes

When the dude put the record on at the end, i was so hoping he would play "no where to run" from the Warriors

Re: Z Nation (SyFy) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 9/12/14

SyFy made a terrible mistake airing that pilot. The second episode was far, far better in all phases. The pilot should have been hacked up to fit 30 minutes and stuck on as a prologue to the second episode.

I really liked the look of those zombies covered in crude oil. The only thing not working for me is DJ Qualls' character. I understand his character's role but I'm not sure Qualls is the right fit for a serious drama. He's great on lighter stuff such as Supernatural.

I really like the zombie in the wheel bed when they thought they had a flat tire. That was pretty original and decent CGI.

Enjoyed the 2nd episode. I missed the part where they explained why they had to stop the engine thing on top of the tower? I realize they wanted to fill the truck with gas, but the sound seemed to be distracting the zombies just fine on it's own, considering they were running right past them to get to the top.

It's after the zombie apocalypse, all the people with brains have been eaten.

I think the is was that the sound was drawing zombies from all around the area.

Much better than the pilot. The zombie makeup has been surprisingly well done especially given how many of them there have been.

The show grinds to a halt whenever hes on screen.

Still watching and enjoying. It was obvious that they were going to use the Liberty Bell the way they did to take out zombies, but damn it still made me laugh. Also, cannibal surivors.

I liked episode 3. The leader Tobias had creepy eyes and I was kind of shocked when it was revealed what the "family" was doing. I'm curious about 10,000's backstory.

The production values are still pretty bad, but better than the pilot's. The zombies for the most part look good. The one in the police car was terrible.

They have a big gun but fail to use it on the truck crashing through the gate. The bell was cool. I thought it was funny they never talk about the people hung up, no rescue for them. No real reason to rescue them I guess.

Episode two, when Citizen Z was chasing the turned dog/wolf he ended up in a dark room with lots of boxes. He went up on the boxes and jumped around there, looking for the zdog.
That's a level in Doom or Doom 2. :-) I'll never forget that level.

Re: Z Nation (SyFy) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 9/12/14

It seems that in episode three they spelled out what everybody is thinking what is going on in that strange little down at the end of Walking Dead. Has that ever happend, one show kinda spoiling another?

that Liberty Bell scene was arguably better than any similarly short scene in Walking Dead ! loved it !

Say what you like. the Cult was done really creepy. the sewed up lips, yuck !

and what i like about this show is they wrapped up the whole storyline in one episode !

Walking dead, this would have been a 4 or 5 episode dance with the cult !

When I was watching the episode, I was thinking for awhile that storyline was going to last a few episodes. I do like that it wrapped up in one episode.

If animals can become zombies, shouldn't a horde of zombie rats quickly kill everything on the planet?

This show has a really low imdb rating and is getting a lot of hate on imdb
