I don't know how much more I can take of Tom Selleck and his single facial expression. Has he always been this shitty of an actor?

Excellent episode!!! Interested in the younger brother finding out more about who killed his brother. Next episode should start dealing with that a little more.

I hope for more episodes like this one where the show uses its cast a bit more than 40 mins of Donnie Wahlberg. Bridget Moynahan is a very capable actress and using her more would help.

Well probably watch this when I get home tonight from my business trip. I get why most of you don't really care about this show as there are so many Cop procedurals on TV right now and you probably feel unchallenged as a viewer, but I think this is a very well acted and directed drama. I look forward to it every week.

Very good show this week. I could understand also in relation to the multitude of cop shows on tv however I decided to start watching this show because it seemed different from all the other CSI crap and Law and Order crap. IMO..I made a good choice!!!

I liked how he didn't have some long drawn out conversation or try to talk the guy down, he just shot him first time the scumbag exposed his head

I finally watched this online last night. For me, this show is only getting better. My favorite actor week after week is Donnie Wahlberg. Never really cared much for him until now.

Yeah I thought this was another really solid episode. Wahlberg is definitely carrying the show with Selleck being more of a supporting character. I really like the addition of Jennifer Esposito to the cast as well.

What's happening with The Defenders? Was it moved to Fri?

Thanks. I'm glad it wasn't axed. It's probably my favorite new show from this year.
Blue Bloods has steadily grown on me too. Although, I liked it on Fri where it didn't interfere with any other recordings.

Re: Blue Bloods -- New Timeslot -- "Little Fish" -- 1/19/11
I really like Blue Bloods but thought this episode was so-so. Maybe I was too tired from working all day on Tuesday. I will go back and watch it again online. I did not even realize this had been moved to Wednesday. The only reason I knew it was on is due to me switching to abc at 10pm to see if The Defenders was coming on. Same with Chase...I had no idea it had moved to Wednesday. Between switching shows all around and 2-3 month breaks between episodes, it is no wonder shows do not make it these days.

The move to Wednesday is only for 4 weeks to see how the ratings are. I believe if Blue Bloods gets a 2nd season, which I'm pretty sure it will, CBS will move it out of Friday nights.
And your complaint about shows moving and 2-3 month breaks is nothing new. A normal network TV season is 36 weeks (September to May) Networks need to pad out 22-24 episodes over that time period and your going to have repeats for procedurals and 2-3 month breaks for serials.

Blue Bloods -- "Family Ties" -- 1/26/11

Not that it matters for this show, but this is actually episode 13. Episode 12 airs next week.
Last week the show got 12M viewers in this timeslot. Solid episode last week, nothing out of the ordinary. I'm a little surprised that they haven't really touched the Blue Templar arc that much.

Re: Blue Bloods -- "Family Ties" -- 1/26/11
I love this show, but the Blue Templar subplot, even the name "Blue Templar", is pretty lame thus far. That is, unless it becomes a tie-in with Castle and the series wrap at the same time years from now.

Yeah I agree the self contained plots have been solid and I like the Reagan family moments, but the writers don't seem to know how to write a good serialized arc for this show. The Blue Templar arc had potential to start the season, but it hasn't gone anywhere.
