That would be kinda nice. He's the only other character besides Jack who's been in every season.

It sucks - I was really looking forward to the idea of a 24 movie after the series, but they've completely destroyed the character of Jack Bauer, so now I could practically care less. I mean it makes sense for him to go balls to the wall to SAVE LIVES but this is just for revenge and the worst kind of 'justice' I've ever heard of. Yes the president is now corrupt, yes the Russians are dicks and should be held accountable, but for a guy who used to live by the motto "the end justifies the means" it is more than a little hypocritical for Jack to be crusading to expose the 'truth' of this conspiracy... Of course Logan needs to be held accountable for what he did, but who the fuck is Jack to deliver the sentence? Same goes for when he killed Dana.

If anything, the series should end with Jack gone full rogue and on the run - the 24 movie featuring him as the villain, because that's what he is to me now. What a joke.
I disagree. Yes, Jack has taken it alot more personally because someone he knew and cared about was killed. But, remember at the end of last season Jack told Renee that sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth for justice after she saw some of the things he did that weren't protocal. Even after Hassan was murdered, Jack was giving the whole operation up and letting CTU handle it the rest of the way. However, his friend was murdered, the President basically ordered him to shut the hell up and leave. And noone seemed to care or want to do anything about it. If anything it gives Jack more motive now to seek justice for his friend and not let Renee die for nothing and uncover the conspiracy.

So do we think the 24 movie will be PG-13 or rated R.

I'm guessing PG-13 so they could get more teens in to see it, but after that brutally violent scene on Monday night, maybe they will go with an R.

It'd be a lock for a PG-13.

PG-13 would ensure that we'd finally get another F-Bomb from Jack.

It's been too long since, "I can find my own fucking job, Erin."

100% PG-13. There are plenty of good action movies that get that rating.

with how violent this show gets, there's no way in hell this show would get a PG-13. also most PG-13 movies are mostly blood free. they couldn't get away with Renee cutting the dudes arm off, Hassan's crime scene, and the torture scene on monday in a pg-13 enviorment
and this never gets old

My guess is the censors had final say and cut the torture scene by a few minutes. Probably won't be revealed until the DVD release ("Including the Never Before Scenes from Episode 21!")

would have been nice of they introduced Michael Madsen's character in a previous season, even in a very small way... would make his involvment now seem a little less "convenient".

although it would be awesome if the movie had Jack, Tony, and Madsen has a kick ass trio of asswhoopin' badassery.

With the way last season ended, I'm very surprised Tony hasn't resurfaced yet. Is there a backstory to this--did Carlos Bernard have other things going on, or was it just a decision by the show-runners to go in a different direction?

Carlos Bernard was in one episode of Burn Notice last season... but thats about all I've seen him in since leaving 24

I thought he was filming (not just Burn Notice), so he wasn't available.

Ah.. here's his quote back in Nov..

I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but you guys all realize that Jack's actions in the last few shows put him in almost the EXACT same situation Tony was in last season. In other words, Jack has turned into what Tony has/had already become.

I don't know if that's the writers setting up something for the movie or not, but I find it interesting.

Not even close. Tony was working with terrorists, killed innocent people, and put a biological weapon into the hands of terrorists. The only people Jack has killed have been the bad guys, and Dana and the assassin were the only kills that weren't in self defense. So I say again, not even close.

Great episode, but seriously....they really had to get rid of Hastings? Still pissed about that.

Ok, so I'm caught up. Yeah that was definitely quite a contrast to the first half of the season

And no they havne't ruined Jack. He has been ruined since he brutally executed Chapelle - even if that wasn't voluntarily.

At this point I just enjoy him being bad ass.

Exactly. Have we forgotten "I'm gonna need a hacksaw..." back from Season 2? Or heck, when he shoots George Mason with a tranq in the first or second episode of the whole show?

Wow! I'm impressed. You actually went on a 12 episode marathon the last few days.

I did yes
Two days off and nothing better to do.

I'm glad I did. It's been like classic 24 and it's nice to see the show go out strong. Even if the first half sucked.
