Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation
Actually it is a bad analogy and makes little sense. In the 1968 Masters, his playing partner Tommy Aaron put the wrong score for De Vicenzo's 17th hole, and he didn't notice the error before signing it. He then missed out on a playoff with eventual winner Bob Goalby by one stroke.
Basically he got screwed out of winning, like you

Evidence was presented, but it was somehow determined that millions of people randomly decided to purchase DVDs for a show they had no interest in, then network executives were fooled into thinking those people might be fans of the show and thus brought it back, and then the Nielsen company was fooled into thinking enough of those people actually tuned in to the revived show to keep it on the air for the next several years.
Afterwards, while we looked through the Wiki evidence, we saw that there was actual action made to save the show: letter-writing, petitions, etc. You were so blinded by your thought that merely buying a DVD or having a station tuned to a channel merited fanatical action that you failed to capitalize on an opportunity.
Evidence was there, but it was never presented.

No, evidence was not presented. For the 195th time (and not this did not sway anyone, hence it continues not being evidence), buying the DVDs did not merit enough of a "fan action" especially since the original question was talking about writing letters, which is much more pro-active than hitting a few mouse buttons on a browser and adding a DVD to your cart.
It's not just clicking a few mouse buttons, it's shelling out hard earned cash which seems much more pro-active than firing off a form letter. I know you and Red Dog and others are being quite sincere, but if I didn't know better I'd swear I was being Punk'd.

Massive amounts of DVDs? Did people shingle their roof with copies of the DVD? Did they build Stewie statues out of the discs?

They sold 2.2 million DVDs in one year. If you don't think that's a massive amount then I guess I'm not sure what else to say.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation
I'm trying to figure out if the fans bought massive numbers. Are there people out there who bought 30 sets, for instance?

I own Family Guy DVDs. I'm not a fan of the show. I would not do anything if it was cancelled.

My question would be for Tracer Bullet--
When you asked the question, what, in all honesty, did you think the possible correct answers would be?

Perhaps you should take that into consideration if you do another game.
