I believe the IDW stuff is coming out in April:

They're also doing an artist's edition of Don Rosa's Life and Times of Scrooge Mcduck.

This is an IDW Artist's edition, though:

Basically an expensive, oversized volume with scans of the original artist's work (where possible). This Life and Times collection will take three volumes and come with a lot of extras. They're going to do some Carl Barks ones too.

Like the rest of the Artist’s Edition line, IDW’s version will be printed from high resolution scans of Rosa’s original artwork at the original size of 14″ x 20″, presenting the work exactly as it looked on the artist’s drawing table, with blue lines, notations and anything else he left on the page.

Disney Reveals First Image from 2017 ‘Ducktales’ Reboot
by Elle Collins March 7, 2016 5:00 PM
Life is like a hurricane, with all these reboots and revivals coming at us. It’s a duck-blur. But today on Twitter, Disney got everyone’s attention by releasing the first promotional image from the new incarnation of Ducktales, which arrives on Disney XD in 2017. The image was first tweeted from the Twitter account of Disney D23, the official Disney fan club, and was then shared by other official Disney sources.
The news of a new Ducktales series was first unveiled by Variety on February 25th, but nobody really seemed to notice it was happening until today’s image. Nevertheless, Variety offered some details about the characters involved:
The reboot will, like the original, follow [Scrooge] McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and Donald Duck as they adventure around the world. Other characters from the original, including Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell and Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack, are also set to return.
Duck fans will immediately feel an “um, actually” rising in their throats at reading that quote, so let me get there first: Donald Duck was never a cast member of the original Ducktales. However, he is prominently featured in the new art, so he’s clearly been added for this incarnation.
Ducktales was based on the classic Disney comics work of Carl Barks, and the inclusion of Donald seems to imply that this new cartoon might hew even more closely to those comics. Another hint is Uncle Scrooge’s coat, which is red like the original comics, as opposed to blue like the earlier Ducktales. On the other hand, Webby Vanderquack, a character created for Ducktales, is present in the image.
Whatever we might speculate about the series, the important thing is that it’s clear even in the one image we’ve seen that this family of Ducks is having a rollicking, globetrotting adventure together. And that’s what Ducktales is all about.

I'm pretty happy with how the artwork is looking so far. Glad they're going with a more traditional style animation. The looks are different from the original series but I think they look alright.

Allow me to add my own "um" to that article. Donald was prominantly featured in the Carl Barks comics that inspired Ducktales, they just cut him out for the cartoon.

So it seems like the classic theme and logo are being used based on this very brief snippet.

Quoted the "Work smarter, not harder" episode in a job interview the other day. This show was one of the biggest influences on me as a kid.

First look trailer. Looks okay although I'm not a fan of the voices of Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Kind of bothers me that the voice actors playing them aren't using "duck" voices. The voices of Donald and Scrooge aren't as bad. The animation might take time to grow on me too. I appreciate that they're kind of going for the classic comic look but I'm not sure it translates to animated form the best.

I don't get the new animation style for all the cartoons today. I mean, this, Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes, Justice League Action look to stylized without any rhyme or reason.

So happy to see they kept Launchpad dumb-downed as I laughed at the "oh no the ground" line. The voices will take getting used to but Tennant's accent is perfect for Scrooge.

I think the animation style will grow on me, it kinda looks like a comic strip come to life.
The theme song blows chunks though. The original was 100% perfection. They should have kept it.

I kinda like it, the song is updated but still similar to the original. Even though its on the computer the animation style looks similar to it being hand drawn. Hopefully its good.

The new theme song is crap I'm sorry. Yeah I'm probably biased towards the original but this new version just lacks the energy of the original and sounds exactly like any other generic Disney kids song. The odd thing is that they've been doing a lot of promoting using the original theme so why not just stick with it? I realize they probably feel the need to update things but some things don't need updating and I think kids would have found the original theme as much or more fun than this new version and wouldn't have cared that it's from an eighties show. I've been on board and excited about the show otherwise but disappointed with the theme song which is a big part of what makes the original memorable.
