It's not walled off, it's just only usable in one very specific situation (purchasing on a 360 console).

And BC wasn't always in the pipeline. It was planned for during development, then shelved, and then brought out of mothballs quite a while after launch.

However, you're correct that MS could've fixed this by now, and maybe they should've. It's clearly not a priority for them though, and so one has to wonder how often this issue actually comes up.

Licensing agreements. MS doesn't own any of those games, so they licensed them to be in Game Pass for a certain amount of time. Also, there's only a finite amount of revenue coming in each month, so in order to add new games, and pay for them, they have to remove some other games. It's the same reason why movies/TV shows appear and disappear from Netflix.

As a side effect, it also provides an impetus for people to subscribe now to play a game or two that they want to, instead of just waiting later, since the game might not be available later. This is why they tell you at the beginning of the month what's leaving at the end of it; so people go "shit, I need to sign up now and play through the BioShock Trilogy before the end of the month!"

Also they do sell it to Game Pass members at a 20% discount. If there's a game you are enjoying at least you get a heads up to buy it at a discount while you still can.

It depends on how long the game has been on Game Pass for the discount, if any.

Checking the FAQs, that’s right, but just about every game will still be 20% off by the time it’s getting pulled :

How do Xbox One game and add-on discounts work?
Xbox Game Pass members can save up to 20% on Xbox One games purchased from the existing catalog, as well as 10% off any Xbox One game add-ons. Discounts are based on the Microsoft Store price and are tiered based on the game’s global launch date. Between 31 and 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive a 10% discount off the Microsoft Store price. After 90 days from a game’s launch date, members receive a 20% discount. For game add-ons, Xbox Game Pass members receive a 10% discount from the day the add on is released.

oh that's right, the game's launch date, not how long on Game Pass. Sea of Thieves messed me up with that.

Question, can two Xbox Ones play at the same time with the same Gamertag? For instance, can my 8 year old play in her room using my GT while I play in the living room?

No. As soon as one signs in, the other will be signed out.

You can a gamertag for her, and you can share Gold without having to pay another $60 (or whatever) for a subscription, as long as you set her console to be your Home console.

Yeah, you'll want to set her up with her own gamertag instead of using yours, so her friends don't start friending your gamertag.

Burnout Revenge holds up and plays amazing. It's still my favorite Arcade Racing game of all time. Wish Criterion would go back to that gameplay style . Just loads of fun

EA revived the name, but they're not the studio they used to be. They fielded some of the vehicular stuff in Star Wars Battlefront II, and they're hiring for a new IP now. The job requirements sound more like a combat-heavy action/adventure game rather than racing.

Yeah, the workers of Criterion Games went to Ghost Games UK, and then that studio went through massive lay offs a little while later.

The creators of Criterion Games left and now operate Three Fields Entertainment, who made Danger Zone.

Their budgets are a tad lower these days.

Xbox Adaptive Controller for people with disabilities. Very cool.

https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/17/17...ity-accessible

To give more people an opportunity to play those special experiences — specifically, players with mobility impairments that might hinder or prevent the use of a standard gamepad — Microsoft has developed the Xbox Adaptive Controller. It’s a device designed to pair with an array of existing peripherals to let more people with disabilities play games on Windows 10 and Xbox One. It’s not just designed to address one specific disability, but instead to be a base on which any number of adaptive options can be added on.
“We designed the controller to work around ecosystems that exist today, with peripherals that people who have limited mobility may already own today,” Kumar said. Kaufman noted that many third-party options people choose come from companies like AbleNet, which makes and sells a variety of these accessories already. Others include the QuadStick, a device that lets quadriplegic individuals sip or puff on a straw to control games.

The controller also supports Copilot. Players can pair it with a traditional Xbox One controller, mapping half of the functions to the standard gamepad and half of the functions to the Adaptive Controller. This can help players, Kumar explained, who may have typical functionality in one of their hands, but need a different solution to use the other side of the controller.

Just do a search on ebay. I always find deals on there that are legit for $40 or less. It's never been a problem.

Bought a year the other day for $35. Just read the feedback of the seller before you buy.

CDKeys is $49.99. $10 off.

I've bought from them many times. It's a legit business based in the UK, but the code is for worldwide. They will e-mail you the code after the purchase is complete.

I have been waiting for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for a long time now. It was one of my favorite racing games on the 360. I always hated I traded it in years ago. I wanted to buy it back but it is still way too pricy for a 360 game.
