The Equalizer...so bad ass Washington was. I love the slow paced style. Definitely not a gritty movie. Look forward to sequel. And those last two kills, especially the 1st of two were great (very stylized and very John Woo-ish), loved the ending.

The Lifeguard - 2.5/5
Upset with grownup life, a reporter quits her job in NYC and heads back to her hometown in suburban Connecticut to live with her parents and work as a lifeguard. While there she decides to rekindle her youth by hanging out and partying with the local kids. OK film about the anxieties of leading a responsible life.

Lawless - 4/5
Three brothers who run a backwoods moonshine operation in Prohibition era Virginia have to deal with a crooked psychotic lawman who threatens to shut them down if they refuse to pay him off. Pretty good film with another great performance by Tom Hardy and an over the top creepy Guy Pearce.

I have been slacking on watching movies. I watched Logan today and really enjoyed it. I think it's my favorite X-Men movie. I really liked how it's a Superhero/Western fusion movie. 4/5

This starts off poorly with some crude humor but eventually gets around to some funny stuff with substance. Unfortunately Cringetastic rules the day. For me a few "F" bombs and toilet humor go a long way. Megan Mullaly was fantastic. Basically Meet The Parents but with a straight laced parent and odd-ball beau. Most of the good stuff you already saw in the trailer. 2.5/5
First two episodes. Not a movie but a mini-series. Assuming subsequent episodes are as good as the first two, I can see why this is so highly spoken of.
