These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart; but don't visit the other stores every week. If you work at or regularly go to the FYE/TWEC chains, Costco, Borders, K-mart/Sears, Barnes and Noble, Blockbuster, Hot Topic, or any other store that has DVD exclusives; I'd appreciate any updates you could give us.

Free film cell with Saw IV at CC.
Deluxe 2 disc edition for Saw IV at Target but not sure waht that 2nd disc is yet.

Saw IV at Target will not be a 2 disc set, it will be bundled with the 1999 film The Ninth Gate starring Johnny Depp.

Maybe, just maybe Wal-Mart might have an un-adverticed bonus disc. I say this because they are known to do this with Lionsgate titles (Good Luck Chuck & The Condemned both had a Wal-Mart exclusive bonus disc that was not advertised). But then again they did not do it for 3:10 To Yuma or War.

Target does indeed have an exclusive 2 Disc version, they had one with Saw 3 as well. Peep the ad this week.

But they did have bonus items included, WAR had a soundtrack cd, 3:10 had a t-shirt.

Also on 02/05/08 Wal-Mart will have an exclusive with Jodie Foster's The Brave One, no word yet if is a bonus disc or the DVD bundled with another Foster movie (Sommersby or Maverick both WB titles) or a Neil Jordan directed film (Michael Collins or Interview With A Vampire, also both WB titles).

I was going to get the bonus CD with Saw IV at Wal-Mart just for the hell of it but, ugh, as usual, full screen only. Just a sampler CD anyway, if it was a bonus DVD I would have went through the trouble of getting a 2-pack and a widescreen DVD, separating the bonus disc from the full screen DVD, and keeping with widescreen and returning the full screen. Stupid full screen.
