I find myself liking Ebert more and more. Especially the more I read "reviews" on the internet.

It's almost as if he genuinely enjoys film, and not merely the act of picking it apart piece after...

I don't remember too many specifics, but even so, I don't think Scott ever intended for him to be some big, "proactive" hero. Even at the end of the movie wasn't his ultimate goal simply to kill...
