Considering he's been the lead in films that have brought in over 5 billion dollars, I don't think he's going to have a problem getting roles.

Again, it is about whether they think they can make money with the film. Even if this is bad, they believe it will make money.

It's possible, but if they think it is good enough to make money, they'll release it. Only the shit that is so bad that it wont make them more money in release than the write off would get cancelled.

Of course, you're right. RDJ was indeed a risk at the time and only made $500K for the first Iron Man, with a percentage of the back end. his salary, supposedly, rose to $10 Million for the second....
