I ALWAYS knew that Iron Man could be very popular and successful if the material was handled well. The property basically boils down to Batman + James Bond. Unless they were completely incompetent...

I think Alan Horn was the WB exec that famously commented that all superhero movies going forward post TDK would be similarly dark and gritty.

There was an article somewhere a couple years back on...

I would LOVE to see a Shazam movie...if it was done in the spirit of the first 40 years of the character- i.e. whimsical and slightly irreverent.

If it's just another stupid, angry power fantasy...
