I agree, and it makes his nearly two-decade auto-pilot run of completely forgettable work all the more galling. Clearly he can act, he's just content coasting and cashing the easy paychecks.

Hopefully someone will upload a copy of the 1080i file online, it's the only Carpenter film from his productive period that I don't have on either Blu-ray or from a HD broadcast.

That's one of my favorite Carpenter films - I've been looking for a HD broadcast for a while. I'd love a Blu-ray.

It is. Although pricey, it is a significant upgrade on the DVD. No R2 commentary though.

Repo Man was just released last week by MoC in the UK. Matinee was released in France last year. And yes, as trespoochies notes, we do already have a thread for this kind of thing.

I'd love the first one - I haven't even been able to find a HD broadcast of it, though II was on Netflix in HD.

Although BFI released a region-free Zed and Two Noughts last year. There's also a RB Pillow Book.

This was released on the Warner Archive a couple of years ago, so a Blu-ray is extremely unlikely.

I'd love to get some of the titles from the defunct Fox Noir series on Blu-ray, especially Nightmare Alley and Where the Sidewalk Ends. I miss that series - they were great. Hell, I miss DVDs.

There was a rumor that this was in the works, but it looks like Paramount has little interest in releasing any catalog titles.

It's an unlikely candidate for a HD upgrade, but I'd really love a Blu-ray of Parallax View.

I'd like this as well, but it doesn't seem like Disney has any interest in issuing their live-action catalog titles on Blu-ray.
