I understand that. What I don't get is if someone buys the digital if it comes out sooner, why not buy the digital if both become available the same day also?

Yes, I believe that happens. What I'm saying is that if the digital version and disc version become available same day, those who would buy the earlier digital version will still choose the digital...

I don't believe this. If Digital HD(EST) became available the same day as the disc, those who chose the early digital version would still choose the digital version.

I believe what will or won't get a BD release comes down to two things: licensing and quality of existing masters.

Licensing: As long as the studios are willing to license somebody will pick it up...

Studios license out titles in lots. Somebody like Kino or Twilight Time will license maybe 100 titles. It's a grab bag mixture of some top tier, some middle, and some bottom. That's why you see a lot...

For HD and burning to BD maybe. I don't know. Streaming is no different than cable or satellite. I've purchased pay-per-view concerts and saved them to dvd. Recording streaming is no different than...

I know somebody who streamed a movie from Amazon and burned it to disc. The dvd was 4x3 letterbox but Amazon was streaming it 16x9.
This person also streamed all the Hawaiian Eye and 77 Sunset Strip...
