There is no 4K 3D content theatrically, and there is no 4K 3D even planned for the new format at this point.

It may change, but for now, it's not going to happen.

Or paying... They believe they are entitled to their entertainment cheap and free.

The future of a digital-only industry is ugly, and some of the studios are starting to realize this.

Easter was earlier last year, March, which apparently is the second biggest week for holiday sales.

1st quarter home video sales were down for 2014, but so far the 2nd quarter is up about 34%....

Well digital is only as good as your internet provider... While improving in the US it still has a long way to go, especially if they're going to provide 4K content.

The trick is, they studios will not talk actual sales*, they're still talking account activations which is apparently around 15 million. WB said they "pleased" in a recent home media magazine...

Actually, that is the pending problem for Netflix... They are paying for the titles to a commitment of $8 billion over the next three years... The studios are getting paid, but Netflix's margins...

The ultimate problem for the studios with this situation will be a continued decrease in overall home video revenue. Yes, this year's revenue has increased over last year, but this is after 3-4 years...

Actually, this pretty much guarantees that this is the last Christmas that Disney releases separate DVD skus for new releases.

They should be releasing Blu-ray/DVD combo packs only by the middle...
