Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Hope you have a forklift to get that box off your front porch! ;)

Seriously, I'm jealous of all those tasty titles. I'm still a number of omniboo behind on my reading, including the new MOKF that...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

It's pretty bulky and expensive but it'd look awesome on your shelf.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I only learned of this series a few months ago and bought a bunch of digital volumes that I want to read. It's gotten tons of praise.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I agree on the Golden Age. I read a handful of stories the other day, most of which I'd read before (To Kill a Legend, Brave and the Bold), and remembered how Brennert tugs the right emotional...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Amazon has the recent release Alan Brennert Tales of the Dark Knight for only $12.68 in HC ($30 list price) or $12.05 on Kindle. I bought this digitally in the Comixology B1G1 but just bought a...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I considered the JL but I'm not really a fan of the era. :( I recently read Showcase 6, which is what I read as a kid, and even that didn't hold up that well.

I did get Supergirl and World's...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I picked up most of those cheap at Hamilton Books. I think they didn't have one, but I won't worry about it unless I read the others and feel I'm missing out. Cooke was a big factor for me too.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Cool. I just bought the two newer collections and the Burne Hogarth from the sale. I'll get the Kuberts eventually.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Which one was that? Not that it really matters, I guess, since you now have them all.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Damn, a bunch of omniboo came out this week. IST has the Gotham Central and GotG you mention, plus reissues of Spider-Man #1 and Uncanny X-Men #1, all for 50% off. I've been picking up Silver and...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Last night I broke out my X-Men Omnibus #3 and read the first issue (#154). It was a little heavy, but not oversized like the Absolutes, and I didn't even need a table. And of course it looked...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Digital would be really handy for traveling, but I don't have a tablet and still prefer the paper experience.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Depends on your vacation, of course. I tend to fly to Hawaii or the East Coast, so I need something that's not too heavy and will last a long time. So no omniboo. One black-and-white phonebook...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

Oh, I agree that the big ones are awkward, but I still like them. And since I work from home, I rarely take them anywhere except on vacations. I don't have to sit around and wait for piano lessons...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I don't often carry stuff around. I either read at home or while traveling on vacation. I do find the omniboo awkward and clunky, but I still love them. I tend to hold onto paperback "reading...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

If I'm unfamiliar with a series, I like to try it out with a TPB unless I can get a really cheap deal. E.g., I was unfamiliar with the version of Guardians of the Galaxy that the movie was based on,...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I have the first paperback volume, which is just fine for reading purposes, but I'm looking forward to this.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I just received the Batman Neal Adams omnibus after Amazon had it at a high discount and I applied the $10 holiday discount (total of $38.79 with tax). Wow, is this a monster. Compare it to the...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I'm a fan of the Epic Collection format, and that would be ideal, but they're about 30 issues each, so depending on where they start they might not quite get to Dark Phoenix in one volume. I can't...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

They did reprint the run in the Uncanny X-Men Marvel Masterworks TPB series, but I'm not sure what the print status is of that. There's also the Essentials series if you don't mind black and white....

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I was all set to gorge on IST's clearance sales, but I wasn't tempted by much so I just got some newish releases with the 45% off deal (still advertised on their site)

Lee-Kirby SHIELD collection...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

That Perez-WW book was too damn sexy so I just bought it. I added the Iron Fist Epic Collection for my IST free shipping (and yes, I notice that there's also an IF-PM collection out now, but I...

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?

I'm OK with that, and at $40 it's like the price of two or three TPBs.
