I have seen it twice and he still feels like the main attraction. There are many movies (Jaws, Alien, Nightmare on Elm Street) where the main attraction has little actual screentime but WHEN they are...

How long was his scene? They could've easily cut the scene in the car when Cranston's character realizes it's his birthday and Binoche's gets goofy with him. It felt oddly overacted.That's...

The movie looks great. It's nice that they included the American version. It's amusing to watch how they edited in Raymond Burr.

Not sure which version they used but I just now pulled out the Criterion Blu-ray of Godzilla and a stopwatch. I counted anytime that a body part showed up on screen as part of his total screen time....

While the yield does play into it, the biggest factor into how destructive a nuke is would be the altitude of the burst. You generally don't want a ground burst or one that's too high.

Back to the movie,

Did anyone try to read the parts of the opening credits before they were "censored?" I did catch the words "fire breathing" before they were "whited out." I guess we'll have to...

I'm seeing it again today but I didn't think it would have been far enough out to keep from a lot of damage and death. Not that the monsters didn't already cause enough death.

It's not sad but true. It's sad that it's your opinion. Half of the movie is not "awful." IMO.

It wasn't very distracting to me. There were a few moments where it kinda popped. Otherwise, it felt more natural.

Just seemed like a big shot but I know how trailer stuff won't make it to the final cut. Maybe test audiences got confused?

I can totally understand if someone is disappointed in his screen time. But when he's there, he's doing this thing. Maybe I would've liked to have seen a smidgen more of him. It's a very minor thing...
