It's entitled "The Ultimate Cut." Warner Bros. themselves commissioned it, so they must really have a hard-on for this movie. Most reviews have been positive, but I don't know what that's saying.

The real "final cut" of Alexander was released a few months ago. I've yet to see it, so I'm not sure if it actually makes the movie better, but your points are why I have an issue with these "epic"...

How is any catalog title released by the major studios $25 in 2014?

$7.88 or $9.96 is about right.
