Then why storyboard at 2.2:1? If the negative format was spherical 35mm, then it should've been animated at 1.85:1 (or even 1.37:1, for the sake of television/home video) and either cropped to 2.2:1...

Getting something off my chest: Have all widescreen video releases of this been 16:9 or 1.85:1? (I know the Criterion LD and the Pioneer DVD were.) It was made in 70mm, so shouldn't the AR be 2.2:1?...
