There are a lot of elements in it that build up to it being a great movie.

Unfortunately they forced it to fit a contrived plotline.

It's a good movie but I agree I don't get all the acclaim...

I was impressed by Cooper in the flick so it didn't surprise me. He yells very well.

The movie covers potent territory but turns way too audience pleaser by the time it ends.

I liked it, it's about what you expect it to be.

The direction seemed a bit bi-polar though and went from fantastic (especially in the chaotic family scenes similar to the ones that Russell pulled...

She was a mom in The Omen remake six years ago as well.

Then again, Carla Gugino was 29 when they did Spy Kids 1. It does come off a bit odd sometimes hah.

To that comments credit, "this generation" can mean a lot, and she is arguably the best under 25 year old actress in Hollywood right now.

Not that there is much competition there.
