I think you're right, this is synthy to the point of being inaccessible almost. And I love me some straight up synth pop and lots of electronica, so it's not like the genre isn't to my taste.

Disappointing compared to the last two albums. I don't have a problem with the sound, but the songwriting feels weaker.
