Finally watched this, and it was mostly a return to form. That being said, they fixed everything that was wrong with 7 which elevates it quite a bit.

I've been skipping the trailers so I don't know what to expect in that regard. What I hope to see is something far better than 7. That movie was a fucking mess and such a letdown after how much fun...
