I'm not talking about the moviegoer, I'm talking about IMAX licensing the name. Why not just work with movie chains and build more?

Looks good. After some of the more unique movies like Interstellar and Inception, seems like this is one of the more straightforward Nolan movies we've seen, at least from what I can tell based on the trailer.

Only bad thing is i don't think Nolan really likes graphic violence and i feel like a war movie should have graphic violence

The film has its violence but it's focus isn't on war. It's about the evacuation of Dunkirk and the things around that. I think it can work fine w/o graphic violence.

I'll still probably end up seeing this since it's Nolan and I've liked all his films to date, but the trailer didn't do anything for me. It looked...generic.

The USA was not involved in the Battle of Dunkirk or the evacuation, which leads me to wonder how well this will perform domestically. We'll see how far the Nolan name goes. Spielberg's War Horse, another war movie with no Americans, was only a modest success.

He's going to make Dunkirk great again by introducing a legion of American GI's who smoke all the Nazis' asses. $300 million domestic. It'll be huge.

I saw the IMAX five minute sequence a few month ago head of Rogue One. I will be in the theaters multiple times for this one I'm sure of it.

Looks like yet more crap from the most overrated hack director in Hollywood. Most definitely skipping this. Borrrrringgg trailers. At least the trailers for the last several of his crappy movies made me think he finally made a decent one, but even the trailers are awful. Rant over.

Oh sniff sniff.
I'm just glad Nolan fully utilizes the IMAX format. I wish others would do the same. Looking forward to seeing this one in fabulous 2D IMAX. I'm very interested in seeing how he does a war film.

I so very badly want my daughter to experience something like this on true IMAX 15 perf, but I just think she's too young for this. 9 is a bit too young.
