Yeah, I know. Kids typically prefer style over substance. So they most always prefer newer things over older things, even if the older things have more substance, because the newer things generally have more style. I was like that as a kid too. I suspect most of us were like that as a kid whether we want to admit it or not.

I can't count how many times I have gone back and revisited things I liked as a kid and have found them completely intolerable as an adult. One of my most fond memories was Mr. T being so awesome in the 80s, and I revisited the A-Team about 10 years or so ago when it was released on DVD, and it was just so very very horrible. I very much wish I had not revisited it because it completely ruined my rose-colored nostalgia glasses of the show.

We'll it was 1980s TV. TV programming has mostly been crap.

I never watched Greatest American Hero. I actually never even heard of it until I read about it on the internet many years later. I'm not sure how I went through my whole childhood without ever hearing of it, but I did somehow.

I did like Three's Company as a kid, and it's still okay today. I find that sitcoms usually don't age quite as poorly as more action-oriented TV shows. Watching that show as an adult though is very different than watching it as a kid. As a kid, all the sex jokes went completely over my head. I just liked watching Jack acting goofy. I had no idea he was acting gay in order to live with two women or even what that meant. Honestly, looking back I am very surprised my parents let me watch that show because they are on the religious homophobe side of that whole debate.

My son and I went to see this on Saturday. I would give it a 6/10 from me. Ant-man was definitey in the lower tier of the marvel universe films. I just can't buy Paul Rudd as a super hero.

Same here. I've never been part of the Paul Rudd fan club, so that certainly didn't help. The movie in general just felt really uneven overall. Definitely one of my least favorite Marvel movies, however I give props to any movie with Judy Greer and a kick ass (if not cheesy) use of The Cure.

I thought they missed a really cool opportunity to have
Spoiler:
Hank go subatomic (or whatever) to look for his wife, especially after seeing that Scott was able to survive the process. Thought it would've been cool to see him suit up.

Leave the crowd wanting more.

Rudd was awesome in the role.

I agree about Evangeline Lillys hair. Just such a weird haircut. She is a good looking lady, but that cut took some of it away. It will change by the time of her next appearance.

Being Mexican, that was my only issue with the film. Didn't like the stereotype too much.

Took my wife and her twin to see it last night. Both really enjoyed it, and my sister in law stated the last 30 minutes was the best time she's had at a movie in a long time. It was my second time seeing it, and now I can honestly state that this is Marvel's most adorable movie...

That scene really shows off how dull the color tone they chose for the film. Takes out the life of the skin making it look dull. Still a fun movie though.. just kind of dull looking a times.

Any chance this passes Cap's domestic take?

I am shocked by the legs this thing has. Three weeks ago I would have said no way does it catch Cap 1. Now? It's going to be close either way.

The funny thing is I predicted a $175 Million domestic take for Ant Man months ago. I would love for it to top that number. It's a fun movie and I'd love to see a sequel.
