I disagree. I just watched these recently. They're good enough for me.

Chloe
Devil's Knot
The Captive

I wish the Egoyan Blu-ray boxed set from the UK was not so expensive, because I'd get it in a heartbeat.

I just watched FOXCATCHER this weekend and feel that I should add Bennett Miller to the list:

Foxcatcher (2014)
Moneyball (2011)
Capote (2005)

Surprised to see no one has mentioned the Coen Bros yet. Things looked bad for them in the early 2000's with the likes of IC and LK, but the last nine years they've consistently created top notch pictures in a variety of genres.

No Country For Old Men
Burn After Reading
A Serious Man (!!!)
True Grit
Inside Llewellyn Davis

Don't get why people think his movies are even good, no less "great". Batman Begins is the only movie I think is remotely decent and his last few have been utter crap in my opinion.Interstellar is one of the dumbest movies pretending to be smart ever.

I have never disliked one of their movies, and find several of them amongst the best movies I have ever seen.

Fincher would be on my list. Linklater probably.

Of these, I have seen Chloe and Devil's Knot, and they're both nearly unwatchable for me.

chloe is boring and mediocre. Nice to see Seyfried and Moore naked get it on, short moment that it is.
