Yeah. This one will be the test for them. Marvel has the brand making them well know. While WW is pop culture big, to a point. She's not someone in demand either for being so well known. Which is weird cuz I'm totally up for a WW movie but I can see how it could be hard to get her to be popular as well. This is just looking at how Marvel and WB work in their ways. Granted.. we're still early in this DCCU thing.

I am wondering for something like WW they may need to cast a big name either as Steve Trevor or the villain. Certainly need to gather a quality supporting cast (a la Batman Begins which needed it, along with a solid script of course, to rebound after the disaster that was Batman & Robin).

MacLaren envisioned the DC Comics-based “Wonder Woman” movie as an epic origin tale in the vein of “Braveheart,” whereas Warner wanted something cheaper.

Basically, if it doesn't involve Batman or Superman, the budget you get is for a glorified TV pilot.

I wonder what the impetus behind Godot was, did she just come cheap? It's not like she has any box office cache.

Well, I assume she was cheap even with a multi-picture deal. But not just her but others like Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller were gotten on the cheap.

Nothing new, though. Before Thor, what was Chris Hemsworth known for?
