Re: 10 Years Since the Year of the Matrix

I still feel kind of weird of the color wash over The Matrix. It DOES look better for the sake of conformity but I liked the way it originally looked. Great BD set either way.

I had long since sold my DVD that had the original color palette and regretted it. I just recently bought it for $1 at my local library.

Re: 10 Years Since the Year of the Matrix

I was kind of seeing a hot girl at the time and went to see the second one with her. The experience was made better because I thought for sure that I would be banging her after. I played with her jugs a lot that night, but nothing else. My balls were blue and swollen from the fluid retension, so I had to go home and take care of the problem myself. I never heard from her after that. She could have been with a rock star, but she fucked it all up.

I'm not going back to DVD for that one. Why'd you get the DVD? For the difference or you've already the BD or what?

Alan Smithee hijacked his account.

Yeah, I already have the BD in all its green tint glory. The DVD was $1 and it went to a good cause and now I can watch it with the natural color palette at some point.

The DVD isn't in a natural color pallete either, but it is far less green.

My favorite is the HD HBO copy I recorded a while back, sadly it was cropped because HBO.

Then again, the one true Morty:

Re: 10 Years Since the Year of the Matrix

Has anyone watched the trilogy with "the philosopher's track"? Ken Wilber and Cornell West are a little off the wall (but they joke around a lot), but I found it to be entertaining. References to The Matrix pop up here and there in a few of Ken Wilber's lectures and talks.

Re: 10 Years Since the Year of the Matrix

When I buy a BD or whatever. I go through it as quickly as I can. Which for that set? Is a fucking bitch to do. That track though? FUCK. I was bored as fuck w/ it. I love philosophy and get what the films do or attempt to do... but to hear someone else talk about it like that for 6 fucking hours or whatever is too much. It didn't take long for me to notice that as much as these guys may be right about what inspires or thoughts the film has... it's a bullshit commentary at the same time.

The Critics' commentaries are better. Cuz these guys.. DON'T like the films. So their perspective is refreshing... a bit boring but very unique.
