Re: Oblivion (2013, Dir. Kosinski, Starring Cruise)
I really dig the poster, and I just found a working trailer on YouTube - looks like it should be exciting. I like the premise, although some of the plot points hinted at have a typical ring to them ("we have only 2 weeks and then we're out", Cruise's character uncovering a major truth hidden behind lies). I hope Kosinski gives us something that is visually and structurally impressive.

Looks interesting. Surprised something like this with two high profile actors stayed under my radar for so long.
While the movie seems a little less dark that his fare, I have a feeling geeks would be going nuts if this looked the same way but flaunted "A Ridley Scott film" in front . Notice it never mentions "Director of Tron:Legacy"

This actually doesn't look good at all to me. I'm sure it'll be fine but it just has this Book of Eli vibe to it that I'm not digging. Plus it's visually kind of boring despite all the shiny toys.

I'm surprised no one in this thread has mentioned it yet, but the music score for the film is by Daft Punk and M83.
EDIT: Apparently, Daft Punk dropped out at some point during the production. The music is by M83.

Sad news about Daft Punk dropping out.
I've never heard of M83.

Odds are you've heard this song a few times throughout the year though (skip to 1:30)

Not sure what's up with the Melancholia fanmade music video but hey why not. Song was used extensively on The Art of Flight, a bunch of Red Bull ads, So You Think You Can Dance, Cloud Atlas trailer, etc; Odds are the soundtrack will be an 80s influenced indie techno soundtrack.
Their last original movie score (skip to like 1:10)
And of course their single

Sorry, doesn't look very good to me, and I'm a big Cruise fan. Looking forward to Jack Reacher, but this one looks like rental-material, sadly. I'll withhold further judgment until we start getting some reviews/more footage.

I'm hoping for another Collateral/Magnolia type experiment from him soon. He was good in Rock of Ages, but the movie was awful.

Great! A (not so) new trailer to get played so much that I will be ecstatic upon the movie's release because it will mean I no longer have to sit through it in front of EVERY movie.
Okay, I want to see the movie, but I don't think I've attended a single showing of anything since the first teaser hit that didn't have this attached to it.
