It's like one of those DIE HARD terrorist movies, but without the wisecracks.
All serious and realistic. Based on a best selling book.
Good movie to watch on a Saturday night with pizza.

BTW, if you have NetFlix streaming, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (the original version with Robert Shaw) is instantly streamable there.

(Once you start it and hear the fantastic theme for the film, you'll be hooked)

What about a Sunday night with a pan of Lasagna?

P.S.- Ditto on The Sting, Taking of Pelham 123, and From Russia with Love. Looks like I'll have to watch Black Sunday soon.

Doesn't compare to a Tuesday morning with a bag of bacon-flavored potato chips.

I thought having seen The Sting was a requirement for being on these boards? An incredible film.

Also, in what world is You Only Live Twice one of the best Bond movies, let alone the best?

Another reason to see Black Sunday is that it contains one of the greatest death scenes ever. I just love how Bruce Dern's character gets so giddy by seeing the pattern of a geometrical experiment---And to hell with the guy who happened to get in the way of it

The world where people love Sean Connery dressing up as a Japanese man?

Re: I need to see another great Robert Shaw performance.

I watched The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3 last night and I was not disappointed. Shaw is so cool in that movie. I really liked the ending.
Spoiler:
The way Shaw's character goes out.
I thought that was pretty bold and surprising.

Man, they don't make movies like that anymore.
