Ok. Based on that first look... moving the regular BS stuff that you'd get... I'd want to see this cuz that looks awesome. The trailer we got wasn't all that hot.

They're going for a superstar "League of Extraordinary Gentleman" type of franchise. Minus the League. You already have two folks in it that are part of the monsters - The Mummy and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. I wonder if by the end of the picture Tom Cruise will become the new cursed mummy?

So when they finally put all the monsters together in their 'Avengers' type movie, what will that even be? How can villains carry a 'Shared Universe'? Is the idea going to be that they are setting up a bunch of heroes in each of these films as well (hence the Cruise casting in this), so they can have a big crew versus crew thing?

Tom Cruise is one of my favorite, most reliable, actors but it just seems so odd that he was cast in this. I mean, more power to Universal for landing him (and Crowe, for that matter) but this definitely seems like it should star a B or C list actor like Colin Farrell or Adrien Brody...maybe Vin Diesel.
