Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
I know many are tired of this gimmick but I think this trailer is really well-done. I like how it takes a serious turn, the setup is interesting and the final few shots are pretty cool.

Re: Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
I'd watch it. Looks pretty cool...strangely I do like the "found footage" movies but hated the Blair Witch movie and Paranormal Activity. I like the genre though.

It looks amusing. But I can see it getting boring real fast.

The screenplay was written by John Landis' son, Max Landis.

I am indeed tiring of the found-footage gimmick, but this does look interesting.

Re: Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
There are good found footage movies and reallly bad ones, this trailer looked interesting though. I'm just not sure if I'll want to see this premise feature length. Kind of cool how they show what would really happen if teens had these powers (being dicks to everyone) until one becomes all mopey and evil I guess.

Has potential, though the CGI where he is crushing that car just looks horrible. It's like the car is made out of construction paper.

Two overdone genres mixed together! Maybe they can find a way to cram vampires in there too.

I keep thinking this is about sandwiches without the "e" in the thread title.

Re: Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
Would be better as a short film. The trailer was good enough for me. Kids find a UFO, get powers, abuse powers, bad things happen. No reason to watch another 2 hours.

Re: Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
...That's weird to applause for a film that has no property following.

That looks awesome!
It looks like only parts of it is found footage. Who's filming when all 3 dudes are in the shot?

Re: Chronicle (2012) - Found-footage superheros
I was hoping they didn't come across something that gave them their abilities, but that it would make a nice companion piece to Unbreakable. Like one of the kids is David's son or something.

King stammers, friend helps, swearing things happen, King makes speech. No reason to watch. ;-)

It's kind of like that Voltron thing that's floating around. It was a pretty cool 2 minute film, but I really don't know if I would want to watch 2 hours of it. The whole left up to the imagination thing works sometimes. |

While it does look interesting, I am getting tired of the whole "found footage" gimmick.
