Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Keeping in mind how much I love this movie, I couldn't help but think earlier:

Spoiler:
Given all the information gathering resources at Wayne's disposal (i.e. all the info he got on Selina), wouldn't he have done a full background check on Miranda/Talia before giving her control of his empire?

Every single cop in the city was ordered to go underground. Every. Single. Cop.

It's a comic book movie, man. You can't expect it to be some Oscar winner. All the cops went down there because it was a "training exercise" - people paying attention heard that in the movie - and that explains why every one of them went down there, and why they obviously all brought razors, washcloths and detergent. Next time check your brain at the door and stop hating just because you don't get it.

I still think it's funny that despite being trapped underground with their weapons, later they decide to launch their full frontal attack with just their nightsticks. Ha

I dont think that would matter. Obviously she would have an extensive cover story setup by the League of Shadows.

Many of them had guns, and used them in the battle.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

But as they were all marching up (in a nice single file almost) almost all the cops in front had their clubs out. I know later a lot had guns out, but it looked ridiculous them all marching up swinging clubs... Then charging(!) armed men with sticks!

Look, I liked the movie, but that was silly.

Amusing all this back and forth. The movie was incredibly entertaining and jarringly silly at the same time.
