Re: The Hobbit
Too many actors, producers, travels, age, and variables for my taste! A 2+ month break and there'll be another one or two of these? With all the troubles this production had getting started, this is just asking for tragedy.

Re: The Hobbit
Bad photoshopping or not, those publicity photos make it clear Jackson is keeping a similar look to the LOTR films, and that's a good thing.

Re: The Hobbit
Right, cause getting the LOTR trilogy up and running was a walk in the park right?

Re: The Hobbit
That's the past. Just because things didn't happen then doesn't mean they won't now. Try to be less realistic or optimistic, please. This is the internet (where things are super-serious, m'kay?)

Re: The Hobbit
Well, this is Fili and Kili. They are still just "children" among dwarves, after all. Only thing is, I thought they both were supposed to have yellow hair and beards.

Re: The Hobbit
I saw this on another forum already, and my instant reaction was that Bombur was absolutely perfect.

Re: The Hobbit
That's the one really depressing part of the production for me. That can't be healthy for him.

Re: The Hobbit
Hey, it's Bombur. He's more of a "live to eat" Dwarf (as you can tell from his, um, remarkable girth)
.

Re: The Hobbit
There are never many American actors in "Middle Earth" movies. If Jackson was going to cast an American for a role, I can't imagine he'd actually pick Seth Green.

Re: The Hobbit
I keep thinking of a passage from Garrison Keilor's Lake Wobegon Days where's he describing his grade school days, and he comments on the lunch lady brandishing her ladle like a club, like she was going to brain you for complaining about the food.

Re: The Hobbit
One of my concerns for this film was telling all the dwarves apart onscreen, but I think they've got enough differences that it should be fine.
