I can think of at least two reasons.

Vince Vaughn? Come on! He's part of the "Comedy Pack":

I thought we'd be seeing a little more out of Skeet Ulrich.
There's a good reason why he has disappeared... Johnny Depp finally did get his DNA back from Skeet.

(thanks DS)

He always stated in interviews he stumbled into acting and didn't really want to be an actor. But since it was working he would knock out a few films, save the money and do what he really wanted to in life. The last part of course, I can't remember.

Angelina Jolie has tremendous screen presence.

There are great actors and there are stars.

Some are lucky to be both.

Angelina Jolie great star / good actor.

Leonardo DiCaprio weak star / great actor (grape).

Tom Hanks is a great star and a great actor.

Money Talks is a little obscure to be making a big budget sequel to. That would be like Angelina Jolie getting 25 mil to make HACKERS 2. A little off topic, sorry.
You ever think maybe Tucker pulled the old "I'll be in Rush Hour 3 if you allow me to work on Money Talks 2" line? Studios love to burn one movie for a big payoff with the other one.

I can also only hazard to guess that Brett Ratner is tied to both movies (since he did the first Money Talks)...once again, probably a little deal going on for both to work on Rush Hour 3.

Chris Tucker was working on a movie called Mr. President about becoming the first black president, but I imagine that was called off once Chris Rock beat him to the punch with Head of State

I seriously doubt that. Money Talks is basically the same team who made Rush Hour. Brett Ratner directing, Chris Tucker starring. While some stars take one role to allow another, it's not like Money Talks 2 would be some risky artsy project. It'd jsut be a dumb, very high potentially grossing action comedy, sold as "from the makers of Rush Hours!" No doubt new line would be salivating at the prospects of making that movie, moreso than Tucker would be.

I got a good one. Chris O'Donnell. Why does he have such huge name recognition. What he was Robin in the worst thing ever to star Bats and a musketeer. What has he done lately? He is not much of an actor either. Definately a very undeserved "A list" celebrity.

I don't think O'Donnell has been "A-list" for quite some time.

Maybe we should be asking what actors have made it big over the past 10 years. Most of the actors that would be named have been listed in this thread.

Just goes to show how hard it is to make it in Hollywood.

Val Kilmer. Around 1995, he was the next big thing when Batman Forever came out. Too bad the movie sucked and he chose bad roles for his next few projects. Now he's doing tiny movies that get ignored by everyone (Spartan, Wonderland). And he's gotten fat to boot.

I think he lost all credibility with the worst movie i've ever seen, The Chamber. Then the next year he goes on with Batman and Robin.

Although not in the best taste, the first name I thought of when I saw this thread was:

You know, a lot of people use him as an example, but quite frankly I don't see the evidence. He's headlined basically one major film since he became the big thing, and that movie did very well (xxx) both theatrically and on dvd. Granted, both Knockaround Guys and that other flick (diabloe, i forget they changed the name a lot) did poorly. But, they also had: smaller budgets, were holdovers made before Vin was so big, had minimal advertising, and were essentially dumped in bad periods. There was little expectation of them doing well, so they didn't. But they really weren't part of the big star Vin Diesel, just older stuff that was released based on his new found popularity. Riddick will be the test of his star power...I just don't think Diesel's is quite dead yet...if Riddick does well, I think his place as an action star will be quite solid.

Yeah, but word is she was such a raving bitch of a hosebeast on the set that nobody wanted to work with her, so her career fizzled in a big way. Sad to be remembered as the chick with a dick in Pet Detective.

is there something you know that we don't?
