I watched it tonight for the first time, and i really enjoyed it. There were some slow parts, but really a very well told story, another Burton classic IMHO.

I just got finished watching this movie and absolutely LOVED IT! Great premise that had an emotional touch. Being a Tim Burton film, I simply expected to see great visuals. However, because it came with so much else (IMO), I came away from the viewing debating whether or not this was Burton's best film.

Watched it today and enjoyed it. Not sure how often I would watch it so I personally won't buy it but I would recommend it as a good blind buy for others.
Did anyone else get all teary eyed at the end?

It was like Forest Gump with circus freaks.
This movie had a great concept that went nowhere.
I never thought I'd catch Tim Burton sleeping on the job.

Why do I still keep giving Tim Burton a chance, I've only liked one of his movies (Ed Wood), but I still look forward to all his new films, and then I walk out of the theater completly disappointed every time.
He's certainly a good enought director, but he just doesn't have a knack for good scripts, which is his greatest weakness.

I would rate this move "just OK." It wasn't funny enough when it tried to be and lacked punch when it tried to be sentimental. On top of that, some of the "exaggerations" were so far over the top that I simply lost interest. For example
. WTF was that?
Overall, great concept but poor execution. Some good acting performances, but the script and story were lacking.
