Watched the DC tonight and then again with the commentary track - thumbs up! Its funny how one reinstated scene Danny Elfmans score sounds so close to his 'Nightmare Before Christmas' music I so wanted to burst out into "this is Halloween...Halloween!" ... even the monster with the two tentacled eyes looks like the striped snake in Selig's animated movie. But back to the movie .... Oh the monsters! Seeing previously deleted creatures integrated back into the DC is such a delight

I agree with the sentiment that the DC is so good, it deems the TC obsolete in my eyes. Im still glad I got the limited edition, but I definitely do not swear by it.

I watched the TC cut last night and loved it. First time seeing the film in any form so the news that the Directors Cut is even better has me excited. Going to watch it later tonight.

Sometimes one can get so used to seeing a TC that even if the DC is the superior version, it just might not jive because you have seen the TC so many times. I haven't seen the DC of this yet, but what I just described was my case with Ridley Scott's Legend. The Jerry Goldsmith score might have gone over better with me had I been used to it, but Tangerine Dream is really etched in my mind as the correct score.

Saw the DC Friday night. I will agree that it is by far the superior version. The main purpose it serves is in creating more developed characters. I also think the ending (which is altogether different) works better. The only gripe

It's been a long time since I pre ordered something from Amazon. Do they usually ship early or on release date. I used free shipping. I'm excited to see both cuts of the movie.

Never had a problem with Amazon and getting the item on the actual day of release. For a long while I'd be getting the items on Monday. Now the items don't even ship out until Monday and arrive Tuesday. They ship my stuff out from North las Vegas, too.

The last two out of three preorders I did with Amazon came A WEEK late!
I don't understand their "guaranteed delivery" on release date for Prime members (which I am one), since most of the time I don't get it on release date and there's no recourse. What am I supposed to get if it doesn't come on release date? Free shipping? It's already free!

The reason why I ask about pre orders is because Amazon has an estimated shipping delivery of Nov.3 (Monday)- Nov.6. That seems way too long considering I'm in the Los Angeles area and they have a shipping facility in CA.

Did anyone that ordered the limited edition from Blowitoutahere get a shipping notice? I've had issues in the past ordering limited items from them, which is why I am paying $10 more to get it from Amazon.

I ordered Leviathan from them at the lower price and it took almost 10 days to arrive. I don't think I'll be ordering from them anytime soon. They're not efficient.

I haven't had stuff that late but I dropped Prime instead. I've found most things could be found cheaper elsewhere, including shipping.

Prime service slows down the longer one is on the program. Amazon is pretty tricky, they cut corners where they can.
