I like the sound of "bridge scene".

I'm guessing the Tony scene has little, if anything to do with another season. It probably takes place before the events in London ended (and possibly before they ever started). This is more of a closing for Tony's storyline (who producers wanted to include in LIVE ANOTHER DAY, but Carlos wasn't available).

Weren't the first three seasons only rendered for SD? The spit screen stuff in them all seems to have been rendered at 4:3.

I didn't watch it when it first aired, but I've been occasionally binge-watching it (starting with Season 1) on Amazon Prime in HD and I don't notice any pillar-boxing in the cut-scenes to accommodate the wider ratio.

The DVDs of the first three seasons are absolutely pillarboxed, that I can tell you for certain.

Just bought 24: Live Another Day for $24.89 + tax with free shipping at foxconnect.com Just sign up for their newsletter and you get a 30% off code.

$26 and change total after tax. I'm totally cool with that price. It's the cheapest right now among all the pre-orders.

Re: 24: Live Another Day (2014) -- Coming Soon

Bad news about the extras. Extremely flimsy amount of content, not counting the Tony Almeida bridge scene. I recommend getting the 24 Live Another Day Jack is Back featurette from Amazon or Itunes or XBox. It's free and runs about 30 minutes. It's the closest thing we're getting to a making of documentary.

“Worlds Collide: When Reality Becomes Fiction” is a special feature that details how 24: Live Another Day‘s storyline was ripped from today’s headlines. It runs 6 minutes and 52 seconds.

“Green Production” shows viewers how production of 24: Live Another Day was environmentally responsible. The real question is, does anyone actually care? This featurette runs just under five minutes.

“Destination: London” is a featurette about shooting in London. This is perhaps the most interesting one, but also the shortest at just 3 minutes and 12 seconds. This season was filmed on location in a different country with an entirely new crew, and the best they can come up with is a brief three minute video?

“24: Solitary” is a Blu-Ray exclusive “story extension” to 24: Live Another Day that involves Tony Almeida in prison. It runs 7 minutes and 6 seconds. We’ll have some more details and speculation about that in an upcoming post.

Deleted Scenes
There are fifteen deleted and extended scenes totaling just over thirteen minutes in length. Three of those scenes are from the premiere episode, one from episode 5, two from episode 8, and nine from the finale.

Wow, my 24 Live Another Day Blu Ray arrived today from fox connect. Surprised it came so early.

Going to try to watch the Tony Almeida extra possibly tonight.

Just watched the Solitary extra.

Not going to completely spoil it, but let's say it sets up a potential return for Tony in a season 10.

Other than that, the extras are pretty weak. Mostly promotional material and deleted scenes. Grand total a little more than 30 minutes of material counting Solitary, which was probably the main selling point.

Given that it's Fox, I suppose we should be grateful that we got it on Blu-ray.
