Will there be corrected re-issues of it?

Well, I thought Shout said no, but now on Blu-Ray.com I'm seeing discussion of "replacements".

Hmm.

EDIT: Okay, it looks like it will be Anchor Bay replacing the discs, not Shout.

Fun fact... Apparently a bunch of people on that forum went back to Amazon and asked for partial refunds because of the audio error. "I'm totally cool with the set and keeping it, but one of the movies is out of sync, so give me some of my money back" stuff.

FYI, BestBuy.com has the set for $94.99 and in-store pick-up might be possible (checked Oregon for example, and every one of them has it in stock)

I think Rakuten has it for $85, I can't verify since it is blocked here at work but I got an email from them with a picture of the LE set with the $85 price.

I don't think they've officially said anything yet. I dug through that thread on BD.com and all the talk over there is from an email in response to a member contacting Anchor Bay.

Pretty much said they are aware of the issue and are trying to figure out the best way to handle it.

Anchor Bay We have been looking into this for the past 2 weeks. We have found a solution for the audio issues with the Halloween 4 disc and will be making an announcement very soon detailing our plan of action. (It's good news)

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

Hopefully its an easy exchange. I haven't gotten to watch The Return of Michael Myers yet and doubt that the issue would have really bothered me that much (especially since I probably won't watch that one very often anyways) but its nice that Anchor Bay is acknowledging the issue and sounds like are correcting it.

Is it only an exchange program, or will future pressings be fixed?

Why would they go to the trouble of correcting the discs but not use the corrected version on future pressings?

So...are all the Halloween 4 Blu rays in this set messed up or just certain copies? (Also will they fix the omission of Tom Tucker as Michael Meyers in the credits?)

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

I almost ordered the set today at Amazon, but I have to wait a little bit longer. I am worried though Amazon is trying to sell off their stock and not restock it, or it will go back up in price. Plus I want to see if the issue will be fixed with H4.

While we're at it, why don't we see if they'll throw the H4/H5 panel discussion and/or writer commentary on it too?

As it turns out, the panel discussion is actually on the disk but Anchor Bay locked it out so you can't access it from the menus.

Must have been a rights issue because that is really bizarre. Have they officially mentioned why they locked it out?

I believe it was a rights issue. Leaving the content on the disc, but altering the menu to make it inaccessible isn't as uncommon as you might think.

Hmmm. Are there hacks to get to such content? Via a PC drive perhaps?

Yeah, I think some members on that other forum were able to access that content.

I don't have the disc, but I would imagine it's as simple as viewing the folders on the disc in your pc and clicking on the right stream. Depending on how it's indexed on the disc, you may even be able to access it on a regular player by using the number pad and jumping straight to a specific title.
