No extras, I will pass. It's a shame too, because I really wanted 1 & 2 on Blu-Ray, but i'm not giving in unless I can find the set dirt cheap.

I'm not sure if I'll cancel yet over this, as the packaging is so nice, but I'll hold out until closer to August before I make up my mind =(

Actually, now that it's listed on WB's site it may be cheaper there. The cost with the 25% off coupon is $45, which is a lot better than the $58 from Amazon.

If you use the 25% coupon and stack it with the B2G1 coupon mentioned in the bargains thread (and can find 2 other sets in the $60 range) it comes out to ~$30.

Any idea if at least TMNT will have the already existing extras?

The only issue with that is choosing 2 more Blu titles around the same price, as if you choose preorder items like LOTR, etc. that don't release until November, they charge you right away =/

I really doubt they would bother wasting their time taking out the extras from an already released product....I'd be willing to bet the farm it will just include the previously released standalone disc....after all, it was already on a single layer BD-25 disc, but thankfully had lossless audio!

No features at all huh? I think it's safe to say I'll pass now. I really only wanted the original and TMNT anyway. Maybe someday when it's really cheap.

Just wait...Warner may not release full specs until a month before release. Since ComicCon is coming up in just short of a month we might hear about it (and other titles) there. If I wind up attending I'll try and sneak in early and talk to some of my people. If not, someone better nab be a Dollhouse S1 Blu-ray special edition!

I'm wondering if the specs will be announced at Comic Con. We're less than a month away and nothing about the discs themselves.

Wow.

You guys thought The Omen Collection packaging was bad? Just you wait!

Oh, and no special features except trailers. Warner blows.

(Will post pictures later tonight if someone does not beat me to the punch...this is epic fail packaging).

You'd think if they wanted this new format to really take off they'd bend over backwards to make these (and others) worth buying.

Its a cardboard box with literally everything thrown in (4 discs, Beanie etc). The discs are not in normal BD cases and the case won't be stable without the beanie inside. I just don't get how they can mess it up so damn bad.

Seems WB either does it right{Blade Runner, Batman} or they totally screw up{this and Beatlejuice}.

Transfer/extras wise or packaging? TMNT was hit with the ugly stick in both categories.

Extras wise. Though I thought the packaging for this looked terrible in the first place.

It's hard to describe without pictures. It seems like someone said "How we can make a package that sucks?" and they thought of this. It would have made more sense to do Matrix/Batman-like packaging instead. I'm bugging my friend to get some pics up since I won't be home for a while and still need to charge my camera. I'm sure other reviewers got it today as well.

The animated flick is identical to the already released one...so that does have extras. The 'classic' flicks are barebones.

Exactly. Which is why WB sucks.

Damn. I was really looking forward to getting this set but I think I'll pass on it or at least wait until it drops in price if they aren't going to give us any extras.

I got mine today but am too tired (and warm) to post anything tonight. I will try and post some pics tomorrow, though.

Edit: Just to note, I was able to take everything out (beanie, sketches, etc) and the box held fine. Also, you can fit 3 BD cases inside so you can go that route if you wanted to. One case will have to hold 2 discs, though since I could not fit four and get it closed...
