My third. It's just too bad Disney doesn't make films like this and Watcher in the Woods anymore. If made today if would probably be aimed at the 8-year-old crowd. Gotta read the book someday.

Best description I've ever heard. Apparently it takes a subsequent viewing to absorb everything because I didn't really get it the first time. Loved every batshit crazy minute of it this go-around.

Who doesn't?

I met her a couple years ago at a Horror Convention. Doesn't age + gorgeous.

So would Phantasm qualify for the X rating on the checklist?
I did that last year on my checklist and no one had a problem with it.

And a sweetheart to boot.

I just watched Husk on Syfy... I had heard good things but it was pretty typical stuff. I wanted to take a nap to rest up for my friend's birthday party tonight but I guess I'll sleep when I'm dead. Off to get some food and pop in another.

I met her in 2008. She is tiny! Very sweet and friendly, too. We were at the Kentucky Center for the Arts for the awards ceremony for that year's Fright Night Film Festival. She was standing outside, just sort of mingling when it was over. She could have snubbed us, or even been outright rude to us; no one else was around to witness it. The fact that she was, instead, friendly and polite really won me over.

I even managed not to slobber or say anything like, "I've had a crush on you since you were on Roseanne." I did, however, make note of that to my wife, who immediately objected, "She was a minor!" I retorted, "So was I!"

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 7th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

Just watched La Meute (The Pack), a French combo of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (a hitchhiker luring people home for dinner) and zombie films, except that these zombies are the corpses of dead miners that have tusks, no eyes, and lurk underground. I definitely recommend it.

Right now I'm watching another movie I found online, an Italian film called Tempo di Reazione (Reaction Time), with a premise similar to Right at Your Door--a family is trapped in their house by a fog that burns anyone that touches it.

I have to watch Hausu, this year. I didn't get my copy of it last year until it was to late, and no one I know wanted to see it when it played in theaters.

Don't feel too bad. She's actually a bitch in real life.

Unless you mean the actual visuals of F13. I still can't get over how many shaky cam and just flat-out out of focus shots there were in the damn thing. So much for a visual medium. At least the new NOES wasn't bad in that sense.

Took a break to run to the store and just now started up Wrestlemaniac since I figured something quick, easy, and probably junky would feel nice in the afternoon. So far, the opening credits made me laugh pretty good.

Really enjoyed watching Basket Case & Subspecies on blu for the first time. They are both favorites of mine, but seeing them look so good was like falling in love all over again.

I was especially impressed by Subspecies, because reviews weren't that god and I don't trust Full Moon's quality control. However, I personally thought it was leaps & bounds better than any prior releases of the movie.

Almost every Challenge I promise myself that I'll move away from my standard fairly simplistic list format to something with pics and/or tables. Since I'll be watching fewer films this year, I might have time (at work) to finally follow through on that always failed promise.

Just briefly scanning the first few lists, I'm loving what Tarfrimmer and SterlingBen are doing. Do either of you object if I steal some of your formatting?
