They better not cancel this just because "Futurama" is coming back. The packaging looked awesome and I really wanted to get it. It still effectively divides up a "first segment" of the show.

The set will only be available at Comic Con, no home delivery. And it's limited to 500. It says it will be available everywhere in October, but I'm guessing not in a Benders head package.

I am a pretty decent fan of Furturama, so if this is not too highly priced I may just pick this up, use a coupon or two and all should be well, and it would still be worth it, even not in a Bender's head case

By buying it online on Fox's website you'll have to pick it up at Comic Con. They won't ship it. (This is the way a lot of Comic Con preorders work)

And now that Amazon.com has removed it from their site, you won't be able to buy it anywhere online again besides ebay, as it's limited to 500 units, and I'm sure Amazon sold the majority of those.

I guarantee Amazon's orders won't ship. All 500 will be pre-sold through Fox.

Well, they did the Stewie head, was that an exclusive that was later released to the public? Maybe you're just missing out on some other angle about it that makes the Comic-Con version special. I just want the Bender head, if I lose the letter and whatnot or it's made out of cheaper plastic or something, I can live with that.

Worth noting that while the Fox Store preorder page (while it was up, it's currently down) said that preorders start on the 7th, the press release at TVShowsonDVD said the 8th. Looks like I'll be up at 10am PST both days to assure I get one.

Are these available to everyone? These seem like they are just pre-orders for tickets to pick up at the Comic Con. The Dollhouse pre-order is up now at the Foxstore.com, but it says these are not orders to be shipped, "YOUR ORDER MUST BE PICKED UP AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON", so I am assuming the Bender-head is the same.

According to the details, it's a Comic-Con only thing. Orders must be picked up at Comic-Con:
The sets that are pre-ordered but not picked up by Saturday will be sold at Comic-Con, so I wouldn't hold your breath on any being left over to be sold by Fox.

Someone I know is going to Comic Con. It also says on the FAQ that you just provide the name and email of someone who IS going to the con and they can get it for you.

They finally corrected the page to say the 8th.

I was up at 10, thinking these were going to go within like a minute, but here it is hours later and only 92 of them have sold. Oh well, I got one. That's all that matters to me.
