Futurama: The Complete Collection (Bender Head Package)

Based on the price it seems like it'll be a fairly large bust. Personally though, I hate when Amazon lists stuff that hasn't even bee n announced by the studio. Already have all the seasons and movies, so I'll have to see what it looks like before I decide to buy it or not.

i wish we could get a box set of the 4 movies...those shitty cases have made me hold off purchasing them. or at least release the other 2 movies on blu-ray so i can eventually pick them up.

The bust will probably be similar to Stewie's Head Case for the Family Guy set or the Ape Head.

Well, I was debating whether or not to rebuy them all in the slim cases or not. This solves my problem, I'm all over this.

I already have the entire series and the first two movies, but if I can get a deal I'll probably jump on this. A Bender head sounds too awesome to pass up.

Now, if they release this with at least the four movies on Blu-Ray, if not the entire series, I'll be all over this immediately.

If you can push down on Bender's antenna and hear him say, "bite my shiny metal ass," even better!

Depending on what the price is and what it looks like around its release date I may pick this up as I have not bought any of the futurama dvds.. This would go great next to my stewie head.

This would be great, if I didn't already own all the "Fututama" releases.

I doubt a Bender head would be sold separately.

I am going to buy this, I only own Volume 1. Even if I could get the other volumes for $20 each and the movies for $10 each this set will only be $20-30 more

Re: Rumored Release - Futurama: The Complete Collection (Bender Head Package)

This sounds very similar to the comic-con Exclusive Dollhouse box set, w/ Whedon letter included, but that set is suppose to only be available on the comic con. I guess this set is only going to debut at the comic con, & then become an Amazon exclusive. Doesn't say how limited, so it may be worth preordering right away.

Glad I never bought any of the movies, in hopes of some kind of box set like this.

Now that Comedy Central has picked the show up for another 26 episodes, this "complete series" box set doesn't seem worth it anymore.

I had that same thought when I saw the new episode news. Maybe if the price is really cheap and/or the Bender head is really awesome.

I suppose you're right. But what a nice problem it is! A beloved, cancelled show brought back to life! To have this gut-busting comedy (pound for pound, funnier than The Simpsons, IMO) back among us is a real gift. Hopefully, Groening and friends will do it the same justice they did in its original four year run. Frankly, I thought the four movies were underwhelming, but their direct-to-DVD success paved the way for this revival. In a couple of years or so we can look forward to the first new DVD sets. Welcome back, Fry, Leela, Bender, Dr. Zoidberg and all the rest...

But considering that Comedy Central is owned by Viacom and this has all of the episodes from Fox, is it likely that there would be another complete series set in the future?

That's not relevant. 20th Century Fox is the production studio for Futurama. Period. The new episodes would be released to home video by Fox.

Re: Rumored Release - Futurama: The Complete Collection (Bender Head Package)

My question is when the heck will they release a boxset of just the 4 movies... the prices on each the single movies is completely ridiculous!

It'd be nice if they did that for Blu-ray, as the first two were not even released on that format....

Re: Rumored Release - Futurama: The Complete Collection (Bender Head Package)

Cool, for a worrying moment there I thought that Fox might have changed their policy to releasing something new to DVD rather than cranking out the same old stuff over and over in different packaging.

I bet they're figuring out right now how they can do the 27th release of Buffy, probably in a giant dummy in a cheerleader outfit, one season per limb, one of the head, and the final two one per ...well, guess where...

That picture makes it look like there is no Bender head, just a picture on a box meant to look like one.

The side of the box is like that, but the front is angled in a way that you can see it's really in there. You can even see the plastic the base of the head is sitting in.

I know this has been asked elsewhere, but does Amazon charge upon shipment or upon ordering on pre-orders?

Cool packaging, but I already own the series. Just give me the first two 'movies' on Blu and I'm cool.

Why would Bender's head be in a jar?
