Guess I'll play too. I'm pretty busy so my goal will be to hit 20-30 by the end of the month. I don't believe in counting docs and commentaries as another entry, so I will just note next to the films I watched them for. Same goes for TV shows and horror themed family films. I will list them, but they are not to be counted.

October 1st
1) Spoorloos aka The Vanishing (1988) A+

October 4th
2) The Other B+
3) Land of the Dead (with all special features) C

October 5th
4) Don't Look Now A-

October 8th
5) Hellraiser III C (with all special features)

October 11th
6) The Woods C-
7) Army of Darkness A

October 14th
8) Nightbreed D

October 15th
9) Death Bed: The Bed that Eats F

October 17th
10) Feast C-

October 18th
11) Mark of the Vampire B (also watched w/commentary)

October 20th
12) The Mask of Fu Manchu A- (also watched w/commentary)

October 21st
13) Candyman A
14) The Devil-Doll B+

October 25th
15) Mad Love (1935) B

October 28th
16) Slither B
17) The Thing A+

October 29th
18) Creature From the Black Lagoon A-

October 30th
19) Cure C-

October 31st
20) Halloween A+

Horror TV Shows (not to be counted)

Yeah, that might help on the inevitable arguments against the people who are listing 10-12 a day. As I said before, the idea is actually watch the films, not just be in their presence while they are playing.

Good job on squeezing in some Fulci.

Sadly, I have called off tomorrow night's in house Cannibal Orgy. Was to invite a few friends over for film and finger snacks but work calls that I can't pass up. I will try to watch at least 3 cannibal flicks tomorrow night around 9pm if at all possible. Watching NFL on ESPNHD now so I think my horror is wrapped up for the night.

I didn't plan to play, but stumbled across this thread.

I buy many more movies that I watch, but I do try to watch a few horror films every October.

So far:

1 - Oct. 1st - Phantasm
2 - Oct 9th - Massacre at Central High
3 - Oct 11th - House on Haunted Hill

hopefully - Frankenstein, Lifeforce, The Hidden, Evil Dead 1-2, Army of Darkness

Edit two years later to add: Wow, so here is the humble beginning of my later obsession with these DVDtalk challenges. Wish I could go back in time and warn myself to stay out of this thread.

Watched on 10/10- (5) The Horror of Frankenstein - I like this movie has some nice eye candy in it also. (6) Dracula Dead and Loving it - great Mel Brooks film, have watched this dvd many times before. It rates very high on the rewatchable disc's for me.

I just finished watching TCM 2 which I haven't seen in like 10 years, but I didn't think it was that bad. I kind of enjoyed it.
