27" Television w/ Anamorphic Sqeeze Mode for $229.
Sharp 27C530?
I'm wanting to get a new 27" TV but am on an incredibly limited budget. I saw that this set has vertical compression (16:9 mode) and was wondering if anyone out there had seen it in action? Its not flat screen, but its only $229 at BB.

Best thing to do would be to look for that TV in a store and check it out there. It could look really good, and it could not. Hard to say. I have heard that the reason you don't find 16:9 mode on regular round tubes is that it can look oddly distorted. I don't know if that's true or not.
