Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Thanks. I had read about the Frozen blanket code, but figured it would no longer be valid.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I signed up with the Frozen Blanket code today, and it worked no problem.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I was able to sign up this morning ussing the 30058 (Frozen Loaf Blanket) code. Thanks for the help.

But I was denied ordering the 3D version of Thor Dark World. I thought I had read that others have been able to successfully get 3D titles as enrollments.

It depends who you talk to. Some cast members will let it slide (or maybe don't notice?) and others will shut you down. It's kind of a crap shoot.

Santa Clause trilogy and then Malificent as monthly titles but no Guardians of the Galaxy?! Weak sauce. Way to send us all elsewhere on black Friday.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I would be very surprised if we don't get a 24.95 pre-order price on Guardians, even if there's no monthly offer.

Maleficent ends December 8th, and GOTG comes out December 9th. Want to guess what the next featured title will be?

Order it with anything else, and it can be had for 50% off (if that's the deal you have). Maleficent and other new releases are often exempt from these deals, but GotG is included.

Guardians isn't even available for order at this time. Plus I wouldn't order it at 50% off because it won't count as a commitment title and that will add to my per title cost. I don't order anything that isn't an enrollment or commitment title except for the rare B2G1 deals.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Ok, Is there way I can maximize the DMC? Like I know some great titles are not available for enrollment, so I would purchase those for commitment, and leave ones that can be used for enrollment for enrollment. If that makes sense?

I need one more for commitment, and then looking to start over again with the DMC.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Depends on how fast you are looking to re-enroll. One of the best ways to maximize at DMC is to take advantage of pre-orders that are cheaper than the normal 29.95 commitment price. There has been quite a few times where they will allow you to pre-order a title for 24.95 and have it count as a commitment title, whereas other titles below 29.95 does not count. They currently have 101 Dalmatians Diamond Edition priced at 23.95. Now whether that counts as a commitment, you would probably have to call in and see. Plus that title does not come out until Feb. So you may not want to wait that long.

I have been meaning to cancel and re-enroll but have not done so yet. I may have to wait a little longer as I just noticed recently that they have an Elsa VIP pin listed. My daughter recently started collecting these during our most recent visit to Orlando.

Also of note, DMC recently added a couple of more exclusives to the site.

Herbie The Love Bug 45th Anniversary Blu-ray
Herbie Rides Again 40th Anniversary Blu-ray

And for those interested in signing up again, they have now added The Apple Dumpling Gang 40th Anniversary Blu-ray and The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes 45th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray to the online sign up site. So you should be able to get these also by calling in. I know I will be in for Apple Dumpling Gang as my wife loves that movie. Not sure about The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes as I have never seen it.

It says on the site that it counts.

Ok thanks. I noticed it was listed on the main page but did not look at the details other than the price.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I have a quick question and I'm sorry if it has been addressed (I've skimmed and searched the thread, but it's loooong )

What are the advantages to getting the 3D titles as enrollment selections over purchasing them towards enrollment fulfillment? Are they just more expensive than the other titles?

thanks in advance.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Thanks for your quick reply. That is what I figured, but I couldn't find any information specifically about pricing of the 3D titles in the club.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Surprised Guardians of the Galaxy is $29.95. Was hoping for $24.95.

For the 3D version, I didn't expect any less. The single disc version is 24.95

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Is Guardians available as an enrollment title? Or will it be soon? Going to re-up soon and that's on my want list.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

It's not, and since it was just released this week, it probably won't be available for enrollment for at least 3-4 months. You could possibly get it if you place your enrollment order by phone though.

Thanks Obi-Wan, that was my guess, but I was just hoping to get lucky.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I'm surprised Princess Mononoke and the other new Ghibli release haven't shown up as enrollment titles yet. Amazon shows Mononoke released on 11/10/14. Isn't it usually just about two months before new releases are put on the list of eligible enrollment titles?

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I see it as having been released on November 18.

They should be available online this Tuesday and you more than likely can get them now if you enroll by phone.

From what others have said on another site it is usually three months from release before it is offered online as an enrollment. Some of the Ghibli titles are currently on backorder. So if you do sign up with Ghibli's as part of your enrollment , there may be a delay in receiving your order.
