Watch out for unwanted 21 (Director's Selection)

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere, but it deserves it's own thread to make others aware for their own accounts.

After the site was down one morning earlier this week, I noticed I had an extra order from 7/7/08 in the amount of $25.94. I sent an email in asking for this to be removed, and CH responded that I had not declined my Director's Selection for Twenty One in the specified timeframe.

So I just forwarded the original email they had sent me last month stating that I had "declined this title, and it would not be sent to me". So hopefully they will just remove the charge and I'll be done with this. The strange thing is that the title doesn't even show up in my order history. It is simply listed as "TITLE NO LONGER AVAILABLE", and is also listed as "backordered".

So check your order history!

Thanks for the heads up. However, I checked my accounts. Nothing out of the ordinary there...thankfully!

I just got hit with one today. It was for the blu-ray version and was tacked on to a previous order and they already charged my account and it's marked as shipped.

Two of my accounts got hit, one had the blu ray version and the other account had standard dvd.

My TV account got hit as well, but not with "21." Some set that cost $57.

Same here so far. Three accounts and I don't see any new orders on any of them.

I have two accounts not showing unordinary activity.
However, I just wonder how many people will just keep it and pay the bill for whatever they receive... 5%?... how many millions of dollars does that add up to?
It's funny how 99.9% of the time that CH screws up, they "accidentally" charge you for something you didn't order, or "accidentally" screws up your order so that it ends up charging you double. Never do we hear anyone say "Hey, CH just sent me 10 Blu-rays and forgot to charge me for them".

The set is Centennial.

I have 2 TV accounts and one regular account. All 3 have been charged and the director's selection mailed. The regular account got hit with '21' and the TV accounts each got hit with 'Centennial'.

Don't forget all those times where the B1 part of an order gets cancelled and they still ship the G1 part.

The forum software was just updated a couple days ago. The post count will probably disappear again, they're probably just worrying about bugs before they worry about disabling post counts.

Well, that HAS happened to me, only the opposite. They ship me the charged one and hold back the free one. Like the last one I had to beg/plead/threaten them till finally after 10 weeks I got my free dvd.

Received 21 in the mail last night. Put it back in my box as REFUSED RETURN TO SENDER this morning. I hope it actually makes it back to CH, so they will remove the freaking charge. None of my emails have been effective so far.

It's been quite a while since they've screwed up my account. I should have known it was too good to last.

Received 21 in the mail today. Of course they have my CC on file, so I've already been charged. I don't trust the REFUSED route by itself, so I'll call first, I suppose. Idiots...
