The webdvd thing says the minimum is $30, is there anyway to order a $29.95 title and get the $5 off? I think the first Simpsons season would be a pretty good fulfillment for me.

it's recommended that you purchase both fulfillments on the same order for several reasons: 1) shipping is cheaper ($2.99 for the first, $1.99 for the second) and 2) 2 fulfillments will always be over $30 so that you can take advantage of the $5 off coupon.

First of all, as Dabaomb said, it is highly recommended that you order both of your fulfillments at the same time to reduce shipping cost and qualify for the $5 off discount. Also, don't forget that CH rips you off on shipping for box sets. Shipping on a 3 disc set is $5.99 according to the faq (Section II, number 5, part C).

Secondly, your post seems to imply that the Simpsons S1 set is $29.95 through CH. I don't have an open account, so I can't log in, but the data miner file lists the price at $39.98 (it might be a mistake, though).

If the CH price is $29.95, then the averaged-out equivalent cost would be $20.16 shipped (which is a good deal compared to the lowest price on dvdpricesearch of about $25 shipped). If the CH price is $39.98, then the averaged-out equivalent cost is $30.19, which is a bad deal compared to dvdpricesearch.

My DVD miner ignores the sale price on the sets because it can vary by member.

FWIW, I am showing a $27.95 price for The Simpsons: Season 1 in an unfulfilled account (sale code 846103). Shipping is $5.99 (and still an additional $2.99 for the next title ordered). This would be a good one for the next free shipping promotion if the price stays in this range.

Wow, I didn't know that they still charge you $2.99 shipping on the second title when you order a box set. That sucks, but it only raises the price by a buck. If the sale price is $27.95, that's $2 less than I figured (for the $29.95 calculation), so the final averaged-out price is $19.16 shipped, if it's bought as a $27.95 fulfillment (along with a $19.95 fulfillment in order to qualify for the $5 off discount) to a CVX account.

As Lizard said, it would be a lot better if you wait a couple of months for the next free shipping promo. You could then add a 40% off $14.95 title ($8.97) in order to qualify for free shipping, which would then save you $9 in shipping charges.

Although she tried transferring me to the "web specialist" (who didn't answer) she proceeded to give me free shipping and no tax.

well looks like this got answered eventually. It is simple to get the $5 off. You don't even have to try it on the web, just ask over the phone, so far I have not been turned down yet.

Since I have CRS, I lilke to keep this in the first two pages.

BTW, I recently cancelled an order than could not get this to work again on the same account. Placed my order, emailed them, got my discount directly. No hassle.
