Stopped by the Sepulveda store in Torrance, CA just off the 110.

Well over a hundred of the 007 movies. Maybe over 200. I have them all already, but if anyone's looking in the area, this is a great store to hit up. A bunch of the original Superman movie too.

I saw a few of the titles already mentioned, like X-15 and Stuck, and also Waiting for Forever (2010), which I don't think had been sighted yet.

We'll probably never see those here in NE Ohio... -kd5-

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Good afternoon! I've been reading this forum for a few years now, so I thought I would join as I have some interesting news. I live in SW FLorida and just came from a Big Lots that had a brand new, rather tall display with several new $3 titles! Of course, I hit a couple of other local BL's afterwards and found nothing. But here's what I got: Bikini Beach w/ Frankie and Annette(one copy), The Fantasticks SE, Gun Fight (a 1961 western), Adios Sabata with Yul Brynner, Five Guns West (Roger Corman presents), Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Pressure Point w/ Sidney Poitier and Bobby Darin. Also saw a Sonja Heinie musical, A Minute To Pray, A Second to Die. Also saw some more modern stuff, but with me that usually goes in one eye and out the other.

Hmmm, I didn't mean that to imply that the Sonja Heinie musical was called "A Minute To Pray A Second To Die"!! Just forgot to insert an "and" in there....

Not in my neck of the woods, either.

Checked my "local" Appleton, WI store Thursday (5/10)-- and the Minnetonka, MN; Brooklyn Center, MN; and Eau Claire, WI stores today (5/12) while on my trip. That's 90 minutes of my life I won't get back...

Again nothing new at all at the Bolingbrook, IL store. They haven't had anything new for at least 2 to 3 months.

Like I posted earlier they are now down to just two big bins. The $3 and $5 bin. And then a small 4 sided display with popcorn on top.

I swear the only tv show that they have is that Twin Peaks season.

So you that are able to snag those Star Trek seasons consider yourself very lucky.

I went back to the BL with the new display to make sure I didn't miss anything. Here's some of the other $3 titles i saw: Bulletproof Monk, The Fugitive Kind w/ Brando, Hendrix (I think this is a biopic with Billy Zane), Lambada, Chattahoochee, Hard Promises, Bright Lights Big City SE, Lightning The White Stallion, Doc w/ Stacy Keach, House of Games, Goldwyn Follies, and We Live Again. It was very nice to see at least some interesting titles at BL. I was really happy to get Pressure Point.

It was like that north of Houston since January up until 3 weeks ago or so. I usually did well when I lived in Atlanta from 2007-2011 at the Marietta and Acworth locations, Acworth especially.

I also saw Numb3rs Seasons 3 & 4 and Laverne & Shirley Season 2 for $10 each.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went to the Boardman, Ohio BL, they had pretty much the same stuff they've had + a floor standing display with some newer stuff (it's where I picked up Eyeborgs about a week ago). I asked one of the managers about Star Trek: Enterprise seasons, he went in the back to look, came back to tell me they had a bunch of James Bond DVDs locked up back there awaiting some undisclosed special event (who knows what or when, he sure didn't), but no Enterprise... -kd5-

Welcome to the forum, Mr. Bob, and thanks for the update! I'm interested in more than a few of the titles you mentioned so I hope they start showing up here in L.A.

And you're right about Sonia Henie, I don't think she did too many spaghetti westerns.

I would, however, definitely buy a Sonja Henie spaghetti western! A Fistful of Skates maybe?

Sorry, could have warned about the EC one last week, but didn't think anyone else went to that one on the forum. When I went, the first section was very picked over--that was on Tuesday, I think. I bought two James Bond movies I didn't have, but that was about it. A View to a Kill and For Your Eyes Only. One of them had only one copy, the other had several.

I'll try to post when I go now, now that I know someone might be interested.

Hard to believe we don't have a Walgreen's thread - really, we don't? If we get more sightings I guess we could start one.

While looking for "Plastic Man", found
"Buffalo Bill - Season 1 & 2 (complete series)" ($5.99),
"Born on the Fourth of July" ($5.99)
"Camp Nowhere" (Christopher Lloyd)/"Baby Secret of the lost legend" (William Katt - animatronic dinosaur)($3.99)
Disney's "In Search of the Castaways" ($5.99)

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went to the Pittsfield MA store today, and they didn't have as much as I've seen there in the past. I did pick up these, though:

$3
The Goods
Sublime
Alien Raiders
and the elusive Plastic Man

I also saw some tv series that weren't there before:

Kate & Allie
Hope & Faith
Dirt
My Three Sons

^The Walgreen's here have a *few* DVDs but it's a pretty pathetic selection. It's mostly $1 & $2 PD DVD titles of questionable quality.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Found 1 title new to me at Pearl Street Tacoma Wa today, "10".

Interesting as they told me they didn't get anything this week, & that did appears to be only the 1 new title. $3 with slashed case, just 1 copy.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went to an Amarillo, TX Big Lots (the one on the East side of town) over the weekend. The selection was pathetic! They had only the 4 sided wire rack (unless there was a flat/waterfall somewhere else in the store I missed) with mostly restock type titles. There *were* a few Bonds but nothing else "new" jumped out. No TV sets at all.

Here's a strange one for you: sometime last year, I bought a full screen Borat with a slip cover from BL. Never opened it. Just looked under the slip cover today, & all the printing on the actual dvd cover is in Russian & looks like a bad bootleg! It's even got the plastic security strip at the top!
